Hidekazu Takahra was born in Novemeber 5th 1961. He entered the most renowned film school in Japan, Japan Academy of Moving Images, which was founded by Shohei Imamura, who won Cannes Palme d'Or twice. However, he dropped out shortly and then stated working on Pink Eiga as he was 18 years old. His debut film was “Sexy Up! Pinky Tittie” in 1985. Since then, he has worked on various types of motion pictures like mainstream films, music videos, adult videos, CM, documentaries, V-cinemas and even stages. His representative Pink Eiga, “Tsumugi” is his comeback Pink Eiga film in 18 years. Moreover, he has good sense for writing screenplay. He has written Ryuichi Hiroki’s Pink Eiga; furthermore, he won best screenplay of Pink Eiga film festival in 2003 as "Ambiguous."
